Mid-Level MEP Coordinators

A confidential construction client is seeking a Mid-Level MEP Coordinator to support the coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on large-scale, mission-critical construction environments-including data center projects. This role will operate onsite in West Texas.

This is a hands-on, on-site role for a construction professional who understands MEP systems, can read and interpret construction documents, and is comfortable working across multiple trades to keep project activities coordinated and moving forward.

What You'll Do

As a Mid-Level MEP Coordinator, you will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to support successful MEP installation and project execution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned project areas.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and coordinated models.
• Identify potential MEP conflicts and work with project teams and trade partners to resolve coordination issues.
• Participate in and, when assigned, lead MEP coordination meetings.
• Track RFIs, submittals, coordination items, and other project documentation through resolution.
• Monitor field installation activities for consistency with coordinated drawings and approved submittals.
• Assist with equipment layout, access requirements, clearances, and coordination with architectural and structural components.
• Coordinate trade sequencing, equipment placement, sleeves, embeds, hangers, and related installation requirements.
• Monitor MEP activities against project schedules and communicate potential delays or concerns.
• Support QA/QC activities, inspections, testing, commissioning, and punch-list completion.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide updates to project leadership.
• What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant trade or construction experience will be considered.
• Approximately 3–5 years of MEP coordination or related commercial construction experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and applicable P&IDs.
• General working knowledge of relevant construction codes and standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revit, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, or comparable construction coordination software.
• Mission-critical or data center construction experience is a plus but is not required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position in West Texas. The role requires regular work on an active construction site, including walking and standing for extended periods, navigating construction areas and uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, and wearing required PPE.

Occasional extended hours, evenings, or weekends may be required based on project schedules and critical milestones.
